We’ve seen Gio struggle with handshake and greeting etiquette with his teammates at Dortmund…I was really hoping Pochettino could help him there. Maybe they do some group lessons together? Could help build their trust with one another. Just a thought!
Weird. The Crocker mix-up was poor execution of fundamentals. All of that fumbling would have been prevented with simple eye contact prior to making the move. Basic stuff.
So then seconds later you go from that to the Cone handshake, which was very, very high level. Almost no one can execute a move like that. Go on and try it at your next meeting. It will be a disaster.
If think the Pochettino era will continue to bring us high highs and low lows.
Even high-level performers have to adjust and adapt to their new team, and their new team often has to raise its level to the new addition. I think we just saw a promising anecdote. Reps should smooth it out.

going to try to replicate the cone handshake at work tomorrow
Could have happened to anyone. Recovered well enough, as long as we don’t see these kinds of mistakes in the future I think it’ll be okay.

Once we get this right it’s all downhill to WC ‘26!
