The Sergino Dest product line is being rolled out in earnest. His flagship products are a barber cape and a big speaker.
They are not yet available for purchase. I will be reaching out to Dest's team to ask about an affiliate marketing program. I see it as a chance to make alot of money, but more importantly it's a mission I believe in. If you are shopping right now for a barber cape or a big speaker, please wait.
Should we nationalize Gio Reyna? I'm normally an advocate for liberty, but the free market sent him to a team that plays in style he cannot really help them with. If we nationalize Gio Reyna a special panel could dictate he move to a medium-good team in southern Europe that doesn't do any counterattacking. The panel would look democratic, but we would hold all the strings.
Is Balogun eligible to play for us in the Olympics? We think so. But nobody seems to really know.
He played for England in an Olympic qualifying tournament. Usually that would mean he's not allowed to represent a different county in the Olympics. But England does not play in the Olympics. They only participated in the qualifying tournament because it was also the u21 UEFA European Championship.
So did Balogun really play in a qualifying tournament at all? We’d need a governing body to tell us to know for sure. The trouble is that's not going to happen because we're not going to try bringing Balogun to the Olympics anyway. I worry we’ll never know if Balogun was eligible for the 2024 Olympics.
Dest is a visionary businessman. While other players market the same kind of soccer-themed items - tshirts, cleats, etc - Dest is creating new markets by providing atypical items to soccer aficionados. I personally can't wait for my SGD pot holders and his Harvard Business School case study.
Dest isn't selling merchandise. He just really, really believes in his personal brand and is simply far ahead of the rest of us in marketing ourselves.
