Yesterday Gregg Berhalter talked about Gio Reyna.
“We know Gio is a creative player. We know he’s a great player for the final pass," Berhalter told The Athletic’s Felipe Cárdenas. "And you know, we have to see what he can do in terms of workload, how long he could last in the field because he hasn’t been playing, but we also see other options as well."
This disclosure from Berhalter that the number of minutes Gio Reyna plays will depend on how many minutes Gio Reyna is able to play unleashed great despair and anger:
But looking at the broader reaction, a couple things stand out. First, not a single person photoshopped Berhalter's face onto Osama bin Laden's body. This can rarely be said. And second, some unexpected positive opinions have entered the mix, like this one:
People have never held their wrath in reserve like this before. And I can't recall anyone ever having allowed any possibility of not being completely pissed either. This may indicate we are beginning to see a shift in public attitudes toward Berhalter. He is still a bald fraud they hate, but Berhalter’s strategy of always saying normal and obvious things about Gio Reyna may finally be paying dividends.
My favorites are those that hate GGG more than the love the team.
Find the logical flaw:
I want the team to do well, but I don’t think they will with GGG, so I’d prefer they perform horribly than do well.
I am sticking to my guns and blaming Sebastian
